Community Standards

Wordweve strives to be a social media that provides meaningful connection between human beings. To this end, our content guidelines prioritize safety and apply to all content on our platform. Breeching these standards may result in a warning or ban. Users are encouraged to report material that goes against these policies.


Deceptive Practices

Impersonation

Our stance against impersonation applies to users as much as it does to the content they create. Users are encouraged to report accounts or material that give the impressions found below:

  • Accounts found to be purposefully attempting to emulate the profile picture, book art, name, description, or digital atmosphere with the result of confusing users.
  • Books or sections that are too closely related to a book or section already published.
  • Content that tries to frame an individual or collective outside of a fictional context.

Links

Links that send users to websites or apps with the following material will never be tolerated:

  • Malware
  • Pornography
  • Phishing
  • Terrorist organizations
  • Unauthorized access to content that would normally require payment

Spam

The list found below is an incomplete list of prohibited action:

  • Content that has been pulled fraudulently from outside Wordweve
  • Clickbait information that aims to deceive users with promises to make money, get views, etc
  • Publications or comments misleading in nature
  • Misleading Metadata
  • Misinformation
  • Scams
  • Repetitive comments, posts, or publications found to have an agenda for artificially creating engagement

Boosting

Artificial inflation of views, likes, reads, comments, or favorites is not allowed. Content that is found to be created with the exclusive intent to generate an increase in metrics is also prohibited. Here are some of other examples of disallowed and disingenuous engagement:

  • Content claiming to sell page traffic directly or indirectly
  • Content that links to material for the inflation of views, services, or other metrics
  • Promoting likes for likes, subscriptions for subscriptions, and other artificial exchanges


Age-Gated Content

Physical, mental, and emotional well being must always be recognized as a need and a priority when creating content or comments. Exploring these topics are difficult, but expression of these complex experiences and stories are important. The below topics are considered “mature” and should be treated mindfully:

  • Drug use
  • Extreme violence
  • Gore
  • Obscenity
  • Suicide and self-injury
  • Sexually explicit content

Please tag them with the “Mature” Category so that our users know what to expect diving into your content. Comments found to be unnecessarily gruesome in proportion to content not marked as “mature” will not be tolerated. Only users with an account that are of 18 years and older can access the “mature” category.


Banned Content

Malicious Behavior

Repetitive comments or content aimed at artificially putting down material will not be accepted. Furthermore, encouraging the violation of anything listed below is also disallowed:

  • Community Guidelines
  • Policies
  • Reposting Content
  • Terms of Service

Inappropriate Images or Titles

We do not judge books by their covers or titles unless they:

  • Breech any policies listed in our Community Standards.
  • Are found to cause distress.
  • Do not match their category or content.

Please keep in mind that even if content is marked as “Mature” its cover and title will still need to abide by the rules of any other category. For example, even if your book is marked as “Mature” and contains sex scenes, you may not illustrate sex on the cover of your book or describe sexual intercourse in your title.

Selling, Buying, or Facilitating

Content that is found to encourage real life access to services and products related to the listed below is not tolerated:

  • Alcohol
  • Counterfeit currency or documents
  • Criminal Organizations
  • Drugs
  • Explosives and weapons
  • Endangered species or parts of endangered species
  • Gambling
  • Human smuggling
  • Organs
  • Personal information
  • Sex or escort services
  • Unlicensed medical services

Cyberbullying and Harassment

Content that is found to have any of the agendas listed below is not tolerated:

  • Incites hate, violence, self-harm, or sexual harassment
  • Attempts to target an individual wit abuse, humiliation, or defamation
