chapter 5

I must’ve fell asleep a few bumps from wind pockets would wake me up, I looked around everyone was asleep. I checked my watch it was 2:30 A.M I took off my seatbelt to ask the pilot when we were going to land. “Hey when are we going to land” I said I grabbed on his shoulder to get his attention. I looked at all of the buttons the pilot's head dropped downwards. I looked at the pilot one more time and tapped at him, only to discover he was dead.

I looked up and one of the rescue members rushed in and grabbed the joystick as we were making a crash landing. I tried to run to get back in my seat but the gravity from the plane falling made me fall into the controls. The plane ripped through a couple of trees and slammed into the dirt. Everyone was holding onto their bodies hurt from the crash.

After everyone got off the plane we discovered we were in the middle of the forest stranded. “God dammit no signal” a rescuer said. A screech came from the woods as well as a click of unworldly sounds. “Run” Shane said. The spider revealed itself and the rescue team started shooting at it.

More spiders would emerge from the forest and would attack the rescue team. Me and Shane ran through the forest, I took two steps in something wet and heavy and fell in it. I was covered in mud, quicksand I fell in quicksand. Shane stopped behind me to find a stick to help me out. “Let’s go” a rescue member said.

The spiders were coming and I was stuck, sinking in quicksand. Shane found a log and reached it to me, slapping the stick in the mud. I grabbed on to the log tightly and Shane pulled me out. “We have to go” a rescue member said. The rescue member returned fire shooting the spiders but more was coming.

One rescue member backed up against a tree, only to be pulled up by a spider's web and killed. Another rescue member was shooting when a spider jumped on his back and started stabbing him until he fell into a ground of spiders. Shane two rescue members and I ran for straight for the cliff. There was a hollow broken tree stretching to the other side of the forest, below there were rocks and water hitting the cliff down below. We all crawled inside of the tree to get to the other side a crack came from the hollowed out tree. We paused and braced of the fall to the ocean.
